About
Zandie DeBerry is a painter based in Atlantis, working primarily in oil and mixed media. Their work is concerned with the way light changes memory — landscapes, interiors, and objects rendered less as they are than as they are recalled.
After studying painting and printmaking, they spent several years working between coastal and rural studios before settling into a full-time practice. Recent work has moved toward layered, built-up surfaces that incorporate collage and found paper alongside traditional media.
Their paintings have shown in group and solo exhibitions regionally, and are held in private collections across the country. Commissions and studio visits are welcome — see the contact page for details.
